VIRTUe develops world's most sustainable house with a SUSTONABLE kitchen countertop

VIRTUe, a Dutch student team from Eindhoven University of Technology, is participating in a challenge to design, build and operate the world’s most sustainable house for the Solar Decathlon Middle East 2018 in Dubai. VIRTUe has developed LINQ, a house that connects. It combines the principles of smart technology, social neighbourhoods and sustainable ecosystems as the solution for environmental problems caused by urban areas. The kitchen can serve as a shared function for several appartments. For more information look on the website of Team VIRTUE.

This unique project is now being built at TU/e by a team of 60 excellent students (combining over 16 nationalities from 5 continents) and with the help of many innovative companies.

SUSTONABLE will be supplier for the kitchen countertop. This will be custom made by our partner Dekker Zevenhuizen. Keller Keukens will manufacture the kitchen.

The sustainable apartment will be ready to show to visitors of Dutch Technology Week (4 - 9 June 2018) and later to visitors of Solar Decathlon Middle East in Dubai (14-28 November 2018).
