The Sustonable booth
Sustonable is one of ten selected start-ups within the Radius project allowing to present its concept during the Dutch Design Week. The ten selected start-ups all have so called ‘global disruption potential’. With their solutions, these start-ups do not only focus on technological opportunities, but rather specifically on the demands of the user, as well as interaction.
We will present our solution in a unique way. By means of a so called ‘kinetic sculpture’, made of our own material and designed by Eliška Slováková, the production process will be shown to the audience.
This work of Art will show, step by step, how our durable material is being developed; from combining recycled PET and quartz up to the various end-products, such as kitchen worktops, shower walls and washbasins.
Plastic waste problem in oceans
On Monday 23 October in the afternoon (from 2.00 pm until 4.00 pm) Willemijn Peeters from Searious Business will visit our booth to explain about the ‘plastic waste problem’ in the oceans. Searious Business helps companies to handle the use of plastic in a more sustainable way to reduce the impact on the oceans.
During this afternoon event you can observe plastic in the different process stages, whereas also objects will be made of recycled plastic, by use of a 3D printer.
The Dutch Design Week will take place from Saturday 21 October until Sunday 29 October in Eindhoven and can be visited daily between the hours of 11.00 am and 6.00 pm.
