The house of the future selects Sustonable

VIRTUe, a multidisciplinary, international team from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TUe) is participating in the Solar Decathlon Europe 21 (SDE 21) with its energy-efficient and sustainable house on the TUe campus.

Solar panels and a garden can be seen from the top view.

“The home of the future”, how the students refer to the building, has been developed following the Ripple living concept: to live and work more sustainably.

The house, built with sustainable and circular materials and practices, has selected Sustonable for the kitchen worktop. The colour chosen is Magnolia White, a neutral design that combines superbly with the natural materials of the house, comforting the entire room.

Interested in seeing the project? You can visit the house until the end of November. Book a tour following this link. There is also the possibility to visit the home during Glow and Dutch Design Week. After November, the house will be dismantled and transported where VIRTUe will be competing at the international design competition, the Solar Decathlon Europe at Wuppertal.
